On December 15, 2022 the Canadian Real estate Association (CREA) released statistics reporting Canadian home sales are down from October. Homes sales were down on a month-over-month basis in November 2022.\u00a0<\/p>

“November\u2019s housing data from across Canada came in as expected \u2013 still pretty quiet \u2013 and that is unlikely to improve this winter with the Bank of Canada raising rates again,\u201d said Shaun Cathcart, <\/span>CREA<\/span>\u2019s Senior Economist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Figure 1.1 shows home sales are down 38.9% across Canada,\u00a0with 30,135 units sold in November 2022,\u00a0compared to 49,357 in November 2021.\u00a0<\/span>New listings are down 2.3% across Ontario, 20,612 new listings added in November 2022, with\u00a0compared to 21,099 in November 2021.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The average price of homes sold across Ontario\u00a0in November 2022 was $829,934, down 10%\u00a0from $921,819 in November 2021. Homes sold in the Greater Toronto Area averaged $1,089,800.00.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
